Each Sunday we hold a service starting at 10.45 a.m. On the first Sunday in every month the service includes the Sacrament of Holy Communion, and everyone is welcome to join us.
Coffee and tea are usually served at the close of the service, and everyone is welcome to stay and enjoy a chat.
The experience of one of our newest members:
Then I came across the URC. The welcome I received there was more genuine than any church I’d visited before. So many people made an effort to introduce themselves to me. They told me about all the events going on in the church and invited me to take part. I enjoyed the service and I got a feeling that everyone knew each other. It really felt like a family unit and I wanted to be part of it. I never felt the need to look for another church and I soon learnt that it wasn’t just new people they welcomed in that way as I still have the same smiles each week I go.
When I have had friends visit and they come to the church with me the first thing they ALL comment on is the welcome they receive. I think this is a very important quality for a church to have as it was the initial reason I decided to turn up another week.
